Untold story of a true artist Let us call him “Paul” from the beginning. A 15 years old boy who plays with a Nintendo device in 1992. Every time he pressed the button, he wanted the speaker to make a realistic 3D sound with a lot of effects on his screen. It never happened. Suddenly another young boy came to him and knocked. “Hey buddy, time out! I will let you play tomorrow again” He just returned the device back to his friend who comes from a rich environment. Said goodbye to the best friend by thinking, “I wish I could stay inside that world forever, faraway from my crazy parents…” A drunk father and a broken mother were with Paul that night. He couldn’t sleep because of the scream and the noize. He closed his eyes and ears to imagine the game he played. That was the beginning of the story. After 10 years of difficult life, Paul joined the art university. He always used to walk through the open yard where students posted their designs. There he heard a cute voice behind him, “He mister Paul, can you open the storage room? I gotta get my drawing kit…” Paul was the security officer in that art faculty. Poverty took his student life and dropped him to a bottom line of living again and again. “Is it possible to put those images into video games as real characters?” Paul’s question shocked the girl, “No way! These elements are too complex Mr. Paul. Needs more colors and pixels to do this. But I like your point of view. We will see realistic characters on the screen right?” “I really mean we stay with them,” Paul replied. “I see, sorry I am busy, we will talk about this later…” She wanted to walk away from the daydreamer. Another 10 years jumped slowly from his timeline. After collecting some money, Paul bought a new computer which was colorful and advanced with graphics. It was getting boring day by day but he always killed his freetime by building virtual lives. aAt one night he heard a beep sound on his computer. “Oh god, it overheated again?” But it was not a crash, he got a new email from a job he applied for. He was selected to be a cleaner in a datacenter. A good salary, flexible time frame, Paul was truly happy about what he got. Another 10 years passed. Paul had the opportunity to buy a VR headset and play virtual reality games online. He was alone, but he was happy. Today, he walked through a computer rack where well secured 3D arts are stored. He doesn’t know that it belongs to ArtStation, the best portal that is used by 3D artists. Paul cannot see what is inside it, but you can see how creative they are. Life has ups and downs, but never give up your dreams. Paul finally realised his dream, either you do too. Your story will not be told like Paul’s story in the present. But every moment you spend as an artist is an investment. It’s time to show everyone how creative you are. Until you execute it, your story will be untold!
